Block spoofed calls and neighbor scam calls

Spoofed calls — sometimes called neighbor scam calls — appear to come from a number in your local area code to seem more familiar. Mr. Number lets you block calls by area code or prefix to reduce these.

iPhone

Turn on Spoofed Calls protection

1. Open Mr. Number and tap the Blocking tab.
2. Under Protection Level, find the Spoofed Calls card.
3. Set the toggle to Block to silence matching calls, or Warn to flag them without blocking.

Block by area code or prefix

If you have a Premium subscription, you can block up to 20 area code and prefix combinations.

1. In the Blocking tab, tap Block List.
2. Select the Prefix Blocking segment at the top.
3. Tap + and enter the area code or prefix you want to block.
4. To remove a prefix, swipe left on it and tap Delete.

Android

To block calls from a specific area code or prefix, add it to your Block List:

1. Open Mr. Number and tap the Block List tab.
2. Tap the + button.
3. Enter the area code or prefix you want to block under Numbers that start with.

Note: Blocking by prefix will block all calls matching that prefix, including calls from saved contacts. To prevent your contacts from being blocked, turn on the Allow contacts through toggle in the Block List.
